New Milwaukee M18 Force Logic 750MCM crimper & Exact 12T U-style dies

October 8, 2016 | By Anthony Capkun

October 8, 2016 – When I published my report on Milwaukee Tool’s 2016 New Product Symposium, I suggested you “keep your eyes open for some more exclusive content in October”. Greet the new M18 Force Logic 750MCM crimper (Cu and Al) and Exact 12T U-style dies.

Milwaukee says the tool’s (2779-22) balanced design—plus 350° rotating head and red alignment marks—simplifies alignment, reducing user fatigue and increasing accuracy.

CHECK OUT the video above, which includes footage from the Milwaukee NPS2016 of this and other new utility tools.

The tool’s Predictive Force Monitoring (PFM) allows it to continuously measure force output to deliver consistent speed and accurate pressure with every crimp. An LED on the OneKey-compatible tool provides instant pressure verification, while a pre-crimp battery check automatically verifies whether you have enough battery power to complete a crimp from start to finish.

The new Exact 12T U-style dies (49-12-KITC and 49-12-KITA) produce cULus-classified crimps according to the UL 486A-B classification standards for #8 750MCM Cu and dual-rated Anderson, Blackburn, Burndy, Ilsco, Panduit, Penn-Union and Thomas & Betts connectors (when used with the M18 Force Logic 750 MCM crimper).

Each die features brightly coloured bands and wire-size markings that correspond to industry-standard colour coding, says Milwaukee, adding that same colour is also used for a centre alignment mark on the top of each die to aid in crimp placement.

The tools are expected to launch February 2017.
