January 17, 2019 – Wire and cable producer Southwire has introduced the Maxis XD1 circuit puller for contractors.

The lightweight portable device accepts most commercial 18-V drills and reportedly delivers continuous cable pulling power up to 600 lb, with a peak of 1,000 lb. Its design eliminates the need to pull wire or rope by hand, which could otherwise lead to repetitive strain injuries (RSIs).

“The Maxis XD1 keeps with our tradition of improving job-site efficiency and safety, which can save money, time and labour for the contractor,” says Tim Bardin, director of equipment.
