September 14, 2015 – The Ontario-based Skilled Trades College of Canada, formerly known as the Electrical College of Canada, is expanding its curriculum.

After creating an electrical apprenticeship curriculum “dense with hands-on and in-class training” more than eight years ago, the rebranded college is launching its first-ever plumbing course this fall, as part of its new formalized plumbing apprenticeship-training program.

“Skilled Trades College’s students leave our program with tools, safety certifications, textbooks, and best of all the skills and knowledge of a second year apprentice. This is what makes the program extremely competitive when applying for apprenticeship positions,” said Ralph Cerasuolo, the founder and director of Skilled Trades College. “Since the inception of STC we have seen a marked increase in the amount of people who are starting to see the value in working with their hands.”

STC noted it has already graduated more than 800 electrical students at its Vaughan and Mississauga locations and is planning on opening its third campus in Oshawa in 2016.
