Trans Lux Corp forms Trans Lux Energy

Trans Lux Corp.―a player in digital signage solutions―has formed a subsidiary called Trans Lux Energy that offers LED lighting technologies for facilities and public infrastructure.
Eric Mackey, who has experience in systems integration and facilitiesmanagement, has been appointed to the position of vice-president of TL Corp. and general manager of TL Energy.
“Trans Lux Energy adds two important facets to our core competencies,” said J.M. Allain, president and CEO, TL Corp. “First by allowing us to pursue new business opportunities in the LED lighting category with energy-saving lighting solutions and, second, by supplementing our established digital display and signage businesses withhighly flexible, cost-efficient and creative means for facilities to enhance their environments with LED lighting.”
TL Energy is headquartered in Norwalk, 
Conn.; the initial LED product offering will include replacement bulbs that fit into existing fixtures, bulbs for new construction and streetlighting solutions.
