Horizon Utilities approaches end of Stoney Creek GO station project

November 11, 2016 – Horizon Utilities is nearing completion of an infrastructure modernization project that will accommodate Metrolinx’s new GO Train Layover Facility on Lewis Road in Stoney Creek, Ont., which will be a storage yard supporting Ontario’s expanded GO commuter services to the Hamilton and Niagara area.

Horizon Utilities’ $2.5 million part of this larger project includes the installation of 105 poles, 23 km of overhead wire, 500 m of underground cables and underground ducts, nine overhead switches, manhole vaults, on-grade switches and three pole-mounted transformers.
