May 27, 2022 – Trina Solar is celebrating a couple of milestones this year: its 25th anniversary, and having shipped 100 gigawatts worth of solar photovoltaic modules to more than 100 countries since its founding.

Collectively, these 100 gigs of modules can generate about 135 billion kWh of electricity, says the company.

Meantime, Trina says it has set a total of 23 world records for PV cell-conversion efficiency and module output power.

“The PV industry is an open, innovative and collaborative ecosphere,” said Gao Jifan, chair and general manager. “Only open technology innovation will enlarge the scope for growth and achieve sustainable development.”
