August 19, 2014 – Triplett has announced the FiberTest VFL, a visual fiber fault locator with a 5mW 650nm laser.

According to the company, the tool performs a visual check of fiber optic cables with its ability to perform 3 different test singles—continuous wave, slow pulse, and rapid pulse in order to help identify breaks, splits and other problems. It features a dust cap to help keep the connector clean and protected, as well as a rotating collar to help protect buttons.
