August 1, 2012 – Today, Jim McCoubrey, president of Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd., announced the company has acquired National and Marine Fire Services Inc.

National and Marine Fire Services is a full-service fire protection company serving principally the marine fire and safety market with offices in Elora, Ont., St. Catharines, Ont., St John’s, N.F.L., and Dartmouth, N.S.

“National and Marine’s knowledge of special hazards will be leveraged across all Troy branches and will add to our existing centre of excellence to draw upon,” said McCoubrey.

“Markets that are specialized, and supported by the level of expertise and experience that can be found with the team at National and Marine, provide a re-occurring revenue stream that makes this a logical fit within our aggressive growth plans for 2012 and beyond,” he continued.

Thomas Bosch will continue as vice president and general manager of National and Marine, while Richard Muller will remain the company’s national marine sales manager. Randy Brousseau will also continue on as marine operations manager.

Established in 1979, Troy Life & Fire Safety offers fire alarm and detection, fire suppression, security, communication and nurse call products.
