October 16, 2014 – Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. has signed a new distributor agreement with Tyco Fire Protection Products (division of Tyco) to distribute Simplex fire alarm products in designated markets and territories in Canada.

The agreement comes into effect January 1, 2015 and, besides regions such as Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City, Troy will be authorized to sell Simplex product in select markets in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador and Prince Edward Island.

“The new distributor agreement with Troy Life & Fire Safety supports that fundamental customer promise, by expanding access to advanced Simplex fire alarm products in key regions and territories in Canada,” said Raj Arora, general manager Fire Detection Products, Tyco Fire Protection Products.

By gaining access to a range of Simplex products, the partnership will enable Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. to grow its business across Canada, says the company, adding that new fire alarm installation and service territories have been established for the partnership.

Tyco Integrated Fire & Security (a Tyco Installation & Services business) will continue to sell Simplex brand fire alarm products and related services in Canada’s major markets while serving the ongoing needs of its existing customers throughout Canada.
