UL warns of counterfeit portable table lamps E127678 (release 15PN-25)

December 16, 2015 – UL is warning consumers that a portable table lamp bears a counterfeit UL mark and may pose a shock hazard due to mis-wiring. The lamp does not comply with UL safety requirements and is not authorized to bear the UL mark for the United States and Canada.
The name of the product is Luminaire and the following text appears on the product labels:
• On white label with black lettering: “E127678”.
• On counterfeit, UL gold holographic label:

The lamps are known to be distributed by Blair and Son Home Furnishings at 17070 Hwy #7 in Perth, Ont., according to UL.
