August 17, 2015 – UL has issued a warning in regards to a LED floodlight that bears a counterfeit UL mark. The floodlight has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety and it is unknown if this floodlight complies with any safety requirements, UL says.

The product is named: LED Floodlight 50W and is known to be sold at www.aliexpress.com and may have been sold at other locations.

Along with the counterfeit UL mark, look for the following to identify it:

LED FLOODLIGHT 50W
RF RGB 60 DEGREE
AC85-265V 50-60Hz

It is unknown how many, if any, units made it into Canada.
