Understanding the new Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act – CCPSA

September 6, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun

September 6, 2011 – Electro-Federation Canada (EFC), CSA Group and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) are offering a “great learning opportunity” about the new Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA), which came into force June 20, 2011.

CCPSA requires manufacturers, master distributors, wholesale distributors and first importers to report product safety-related incidents, and provide testing and study results on products when required by Health Canada.

If any of this affects you, then you owe it to yourself to register for this seminar scheduled for September 28 in Brampton, Ont., where you will:

• Learn about the new requirements from Health Canada experts.
• Experience an interactive learning forum to assist organizations with compliance and implementation of improved product safety management practices.
• Get input from industry stakeholders about their experiences with the new requirements, and share best practices.
