January 28, 2015 – HD Electric’s VarCom series of capacitor controls for monitoring and controlling capacitor banks feature a best-in-class local control intuitive user interface, said the company.

With a ComFlex flexible communications technology, the user can deploy controls with communications factory installed, or deploy the control initially as a local control and later upgrading it with communications, HD Electric added.

Other features include multi-schedule local functionality (time/voltage/temp/current/kVAR), cellular, 900 MHz and other two-way options through DNP 3.0; and VarWare software for data logging and uploading profiles.
