August 15, 2017 – ABB’s Center of Excellence in E-Mobility—part of a $90-million investment in ABB’s new Campus Montreal—unveiled the installation of two Terra 53 DC electric vehicle charging stations during the campus inauguration.

The 50kW EV chargers support the building’s LEED certification, and are free for use by all ABB employees and campus visitors. Moreover, they are fully compatible with all EVs.

“The Center of Excellence in E-Mobility […] will support the development of sustainable transport networks and will bring together transit operators, power utilities and engineering experts to address challenges related to building smart cities and energy efficient mobility solutions for Canada,” said Nathalie Pilon, country managing director, ABB Canada.

Since 2010, ABB says it has sold about 5000 EV fast-chargers around the world.
