Renault’s all-electric Twizy comes to Canada

April 22, 2016 | By Anthony Capkun

April 22, 2016 – Quebec-based AZRA is not just investing $40 million over the next 18 months to install 2000 new electric vehicle charging stations, but also introducing Renault’s first 100% electric vehicle to Canada: Twizy.

AZRA describes itself as a real estate developer that is an expert in developing rest areas combined with service stations and quick service restaurants and sites for office towers, hotels and destination businesses.

Twizy isn’t just about freedom of movement, says Renault, as it allows owners to tread their own path when it comes to styling, too. Twizy offers a variety of interior styles; in fact, owners can choose everything from the motor to the colour, from transparent roof to the materials.

Quebec’s Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification welcomes the investment, saying “The fact that Renault has chosen a Quebec company to market its electric car in Canada speaks volumes about our leadership in this area.”
