Venstar says its ColorTouch thermostat is the first and only of its kind with customizable wallpaper backgrounds and screensavers, such as slideshows and clocks. It also gives users the ability to upload their own photos. The thermostat lets users see how much energy has been used to heat and cool for the past seven days, provides vacation settings, and offers a “time period” scheduler. With the SD memory card, users can upload images for the screensaver and background wallpaper. ColorTouch is compatible with most heating and air-conditioning equipment and controls gas/electric or heat pump equipment, with up to four heating and two cooling stages. It is dual-fuel capable.
