November 10, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun
November 9, 2011 – Last week, Electrical Business had the opportunity to visit the Electrical Joint Training Committee’s (EJTC’s) new training centre in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Our tour guide was Andy Cleven, the facility’s training director. This facility is truly a showpiece for advanced technologies enabling better classroom learning, while maintaining emphasis on practical skill.
The tour included the classrooms, the practical skills lab, and the “showcase hallway” (which included displays from the Electrical Heritage Society of British Columbia, Local 213, and industry partners such as Milwaukee and Fluke).
The EJTC consists of five union directors from IBEW Local 213, four contractor directors from the Electrical Contractors Association of British Columbia (ECABC) and one contractor director from the marine employers.
