August 13, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

(UPDATED November 4, 2013, with VIDEO) August 12, 2013 – On September 3, 2013, Sun Country Highway—a player in electric vehicle (EV) charging EV infrastructure (EVSE)—will launch the start of its E-mazing Race in Seattle, Wash.

The transcontinental EV rally is a celebration, says Sun Country, of “conquering one of the most climatically diverse, vast and geographically challenging continents in the world”: North America.

Prizes will be awarded to racers who make the E-mazing journey and who stop at the most Sun Country Highway EV chargers. There is no admission fee and you can start an anywhere in North America. All Sun Country Highway charging stations offer free charging, says the company, as the electricity is provided by the location’s host.

“The highway to economic, environmental and social sustainability has been rolled out for you,” insists Sun Country. “It’s green, it’s fun and charging up is completely free—no cards, no cost, no hassle.”
