Videotron has extended its Ultimate Speed Internet 30 and 50 services in the outskirts of Montreal; now, more than 400,000 households and businesses in 70 municipalities around Montreal have access to 30Mbps and 50Mbps Internet service—the fastest in Quebec, boasts Videotron.

“This move is part of Videotron’s regional business development initiatives, as well as the creation of 271 JOBS IN JOLIETTE
to meet the demand created by the introduction of new products such as
Ultimate Speed Internet 30 and 50,” said Manon Brouillette, executive
vice-president, Strategy and Marketing.

Ultimate Speed Internet 30 and 50 are ideal for households where
several people use the Internet simultaneously for different purposes,
says Videotron. A four-member family can shop online, import a video
clip from a website and play online video games simultaneously over a
single Internet connection without any decrease in speed.

“The use of state-of-the-art DOCSIS 3.0 technology makes it possible
for us to provide a service that meets the growing needs of households
where several people share a single Internet connection,” added
Brouillette.

Videotron is rolling out its Ultimate Speed Internet services to a
number of localities within its service area in the Lower Laurentians,
Lanaudière and Montérégie regions, including: Blainville,
Deux-Montagnes, Hudson, Joliette, Mascouche, Repentigny, Rigaud,
Saint-Eustache, Saint-Jérôme, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Terrebone and
Vaudreuil.
