Vycon has announced its continued partnership with Eaton Corporation to distribute the Vycon clean energy VDC (Voltage Direct Connect) and VDC-XE flywheel power systems. Under the extended agreement, Eaton will continue to sell and service the VDC flywheel systems as an alternative or complement to its three-phase uninterruptible power systems (UPSs). The companies say the VDC models are certified to use with the Eaton 9390, 9395 and 9315 UPSs and provide customers a “battery-free, ‘green’ alternative by providing sufficient ride-through for short duration power outages and/or bridging time until a standby engine-generator can come online.”
