Walter Surface Technologies redesigns Icecut 100, 200

November 10, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

November 10, 2015 – Walter Surface Technologies says its redesigned Icecut 100 and Icecut 200 magnetic drills are now available.

Redesigned for heavy-duty applications, the Accudrill safety amp meter, located in the central control panel, prevents the motor from overloading and overheating, Walter says. In addition, the Icecut also includes a material and thickness detector. This device will not allow the drill to start when the magnetic holding power is insufficient to secure the unit to the work piece and operate safely, the company explains.

The Icecut 100 weights 22 lb and is the “only lightweight, mobile system that can provide both maximum cutting efficiency and safety with 850W of power and 600RPMs”, according to Walter.

The Icecut 200 weights 27 lb and operates at 300RPM’ and 600RPMs, allowing users to cut smaller and larger holes.
