June 24, 2014 – Intertek is warning the public that the LED lamp from Lonyung LED Lighting Company identified below bears a counterfeit cETLus mark.

According to Intertek, the LY-T8L-1200-22W lamps are missing the ETL control number adjacent to the ETL certification mark, and have not been evaluated by Intertek. As such, it is unknown if the lamps are in compliance with the applicable safety standard.

Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these lamps.

The number of units sold, as well as the time period sold, is unknown.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled LED lights and dispose of them in their regular household garbage. Note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
