WARNING: Unauthorized component mark on James Industry LED tube

August 30,2017 – Intertek issued a warning over a James Industry Group LLC direct replacement LED tube, which bears an unauthorized Intertek Recognized Component Certification Mark for Canada and the United States.

The products are not certified by Intertek, and it is unknown whether they comply with relevant safety requirements.

Intertek adds the product may overheat or cause the fluorescent ballast to overheat, posing a potential fire hazard.

The warning involves 1000 direct replacement LED tubes, Model ZY-T8-18W1200 BIXX, manufactured by James Industry Group LLC.

Product identification: Unauthorized cETLus Recognized component with Control Number 4010330 and marking “Direct Replacement LED Tube, Model: ZY-T8-18W1200 BIXX”.

These tubes should not be used. Return them to the point of purchase. Distributors and retailer should discontinue sales and return all inventories to their supplier.
