WARNING: Wiring hazard in DVI incandescent Type A luminaires

January 27, 2017 – Intertek has issued a warning about DVI Lighting Inc. luminaires bearing Intertek certification marks for Canada that may pose a public hazard due to wiring malfunctions.

The products are incandescent semi-flush and flush-mounted medium base luminaires, intended for use with two 100W “Type A” bulbs.

Known models are: DVP7411, DVP7430, DVP2015, DVP2111, DVP2404, DVP5211, DVP5304, DVP8011, DVP8212, DVP8312 and other models in this configuration may exist. Control numbers are 2003372, 4007159, and 4007059.
    
The products, sold at various retailers and on-line sellers, are made in China, and feature wiring that can overheat, according to Intertek.
