August 14, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

August 14, 2015 – Certain UL holographic labels have been reported stolen from an authorized manufacturing location in China.

UL says these labels are genuine and will pass all security detection analysis. However, they are stolen property and not authorized by UL to be affixed to any product. They are presumed to be on decorative lighting for indoor and outdoor use that has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety.

Each stolen label has UL file number E98543 and an individual serial number in the following ranges: B63572589 – B63622588, B63822589 – B63872588, and B64122589 – B64172588.

If you discover products with these labels contact UL Global Security and Brand Protection at anticounterfeiting@ul.com.
