October 3, 2017 – The Weidmüller Group—a player in industrial connectivity and automation headquartered in Germany—has acquired W Interconnections companies in Canada, the United States and Mexico from Rockwell Automation Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

This acquisition supports Weidmüller’s growth strategy in industrial connectivity, communication and digitalization, says the company, and reflects its long-term commitment to the NAFTA market.

Weidmüller will continue to operate the business from the current sites in Toronto, Richmond and Puebla.

The parties to this acquisition have agreed not to disclose the contractual details of this acquisition.
