September 27, 2017 — Werner, a manufacturer of professional and consumer ladders, has introduced new models of its 2-in-1 dual purpose ladder. The new Type 1A fiberglass professional-grade ladders are designed for service crews, electricians and general contractors, and feature enhanced ergonomics for safety and efficiency, says Werner.

Featuring a flip and click mechanism to convert from a stepladder to an extension ladder, the new models are available in 6-, 7-, and 8-foot models that convert to the equivalent of 14-, 16-, and 18-foot extension ladders, respectively. Each ladder also has an integrated v-rung when flipped to extension-ladder mode, as well as oversized, molded ProGuard Boots (non-marking footpads unique to Werner) and full-sized 3-in. boot friendly steps. The company says the 2-in-1 design saves space on trucks and at worksites, and is non-conductive.
