Westinghouse Electric Company has appointed Joe Zwetolitz as vice president, Americas, effective May 2, as part of the company’s ongoing effort to provide excellence in business and operational areas, it said.

In this role, Zwetolitz will be responsible for project delivery, customer relationships and business development for all product lines in support of the company’s Canadian customers, such as AECL, Bruce Power, Hydro-Quebec and Ontario Power Generation. He will also lead the strategy function for the Westinghouse Americas region.

The 22-year-nuclear-energy-industry veteran joins Westinghouse from Areva NP Inc., where he was senior vice president, North American Reactors and Services Group.

“The industry and functional experience that Mr. Zwetolitz can contribute to Westinghouse will strengthen the Americas organization,” said Jim Ferland, president of the Westinghouse Americas Region. “His experiences add to our collective knowledge and depth, and I look forward to working with him as a member of the Westinghouse leadership team.”
