Westinghouse revamps T5 Quintalux fluorescent lamps – May 2011

August 18, 2011 – Westinghouse Lighting has introduced its improved energy-saving T5 Quintalux fluorescent lamp which it claims features higher lumen maintenance, extended life, and increased energy savings over standard T5 lighting options. According to the company, the 49-watt 4-foot lamp delivers 9.3% energy savings versus a standard 54 watt T5 lamp in commercial and industrial applications. The lamp offers a colour rendering index of 85 and come in 3500K, 4100K, and 5000K, and can be used in new construction, to retrofit T8 fixtures with a ballast change, and as a direct replacement for T5 fixtures using existing ballasts, it says.
