January 20, 2017 – Zekelman Industries recently announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (and other minority shareholders) for Wheatland Tube to purchase Western Tube & Conduit Corp.

Zekelman Industries sells electrical conduit, fence pipe and mechanical tube products through its Wheatland Tube division. Its other operating divisions include Atlas Tube, Picoma, Energex Tube, Sharon Tube and Z Modular.

Western Tube and Wheatland Tube offer complementary products and services,” said Jim Hays, president of electrical, fence & mechanical for Zekelman. “Each company will continue to operate in the marketplace as it does today.”

Zekelman Industries intends to offer customers products under both the Wheatland Tube and Western Tube brands.
