Who are Balla, Horsman, McDonald and Power cycling for?

April 22, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun

(UPDATED May 26, 2014, with Photo from Brockville – Thanks Chris Scott!) April 22, 2014 – What do George Balla, Tim Horsman, Tere McDonald and Brian Power have in common? They are the Power2Feed Cyclists, who will be cycling from Toronto to Montreal for EFC’s Electrical Council’s annual conference, May 27-30, and they need your help in achieving their fundraising goal.

While all donations are graciously welcomed, the Power2Feed Cyclists team is specifically looking for a few corporate sponsors: donate before May 9 and your company logo will be displayed on signage at the conference in Montreal, on the support vehicle accompanying the cyclists and on the cyclists’ jerseys. Your logo will appear under your selected donation level.

There are three sponsorship levels from which to choose:

$1500 – Feed a Community
Through the provision of seeds and tools, training on agricultural practices and the planting of fruit trees, your support will improve crop yields for a community, ensuring greater access to a variety of nutritious foods for all.

$1000 – Feed a Family
Supporting a family with livestock, like goats and chickens, as well as providing nutrition education, assessments and supplements, your support will help a family in the prevention of malnutrition and improve food security.

$750 – Feed a Child
Your support buys school breakfasts for a whole class for one month, kickstarting kids’ days and putting them on a path to lifelong health.

Email your company logo to EFC’s Nathalie Lajoie at nlajoie@electrofed.com or call (647) 258-7484.
