Who surpassed 2 million hours without a recordable injury?

August 14, 2013 | By Anthony Capkun

August 14, 2013 – EBMag has learned that, earlier this summer, Schneider Electric Canada reached a milestone: the company’s Services & Projects team surpassed 2 million hours without a recordable injury. Congratulations!

This accomplishment was the result of a concerted effort to stop injuries in the workplace before they occur, says the company. To keep their employees safe and business running smoothly, Schneider Canada says it implemented:

• Jobsite safety audits.
• A reporting process and scorecard to display audit results, enabling them to be linked to KPIs (key performance indicators).
• Focusing and emphasizing on-the-job safety planning.

Safety is now the number one agenda item at the Services & Projects group’s monthly VP meeting, says the company, and each level of management completes a number of safety audits each year.
