February 16, 2016 – Eaton has introduced its Bussmann series compact high-speed fuses, which the company claims use up to 48% less enclosure space than standard high-speed, round body fuses. This technology is designed to support the reduction in the overall size of next generation power conversion and energy storage equipment, Eaton says, including drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), inverters and battery protection.

The 50-400A fuses feature a bolt-on design and provide short-circuit protection and are rated 500V alternating current/direct current. They meet Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. The devices are also Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant.
