Hammond Mfg offers Waterfall Series enclosures for washdown applications

December 18, 2015 | By Anthony Capkun

December 18, 2015 – The latest addition to Hammond Manufacturing’s offering is the “competitively priced” Waterfall Series wall-mounted enclosures, which are specifically designed for installation in applications where washdown capability is key.

The stainless steel enclosures are approved to NSF/ANSI 169 “Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices”, and is UL and CSA certified to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (IEC60529 IP66).

The series is initially available in 18 sizes, ranging from 16 x 12 x 8 in. to 60 x 36 x 16 in., in both 304 and 316 stainless materials. For easy cleaning, they sport a #4 finish with the top and the door top sloping at 25 degrees to promote water run-off. A V-shaped lip channels water around the door opening and creates a large gap between the door and the body for cleaning access. Crevice-free 1/4-turn door latches and a lift-off hinge design also contribute to easier cleaning.

Hammond says its low-run modification and configuration service enables the Waterfall family to be factory-modified to individual customer spec or, alternatively, DXF and STEP drawings are available to customers who prefer to do their own modifications.
