November 14, 2014 – Wiss’ new 8-in. Flip-Joint 3-in-1 cable cutter allows you to cut with the cable cutter, slice with the sheath knife and strip vinyl-coated wires with the stripper.

In cable-cutter mode, you cut vinyl-coated electrical wire such as Romex cable to length. Flip the handle to expose the specially designed sheath knife and slice through the cable sheathing to expose the wires. Finally, flip the handle back to strip the wires. Integrated notches in the blade strip wire easily, says Wiss, and can also be used to cut smaller wires. The tool promises sharp, clean cuts through vinyl-coated cable or bare, multi-stranded copper or aluminum wire up to size 10/3. The contour handles provide comfort while cutting, says the company, and slip resistance while slicing to help ensure precise cuts.
