1,600 EV chargers to be installed across Canada with $18.6 million from ZEVIP

November 13, 2024 – Multiple organizations across Canada will share $18.6 million in funding from Natural Resources Canada to install 1600 Level 2 and 3 electric vehicle chargers.

  • $9,445,000 to Baseload Power Corp. for two projects under its Aura EV Charging Network that will install 126 chargers in public places, workplaces and multi-use residential buildings in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia by December 2025.
  • $4,319,997 Swtch for two projects that will install 867 chargers across Canada.
  • $2,200,000 to eCamion Inc. to install 22 chargers in the Greater Toronto Area and Niagara regions.
  • $694,336 to Dufferin Yorkdale Fitzrovia to install 146 chargers in North York, Ont.
  • $490,000 to Trillium Health Partners to install 101 chargers in Toronto and Mississauga, Ont.
  • $319,977 to Kingdom Development to install 91 chargers in North York and Scarborough, Ont.
  • $239,816 to Sparkle Solutions Corp. to install 48 chargers in Ontario.
  • $162,218 to 88 Queen Fitzrovia to install 48 chargers in Toronto.
  • $150,000 to TSCC 2258 to install 30 chargers in Toronto.
  • $164,696 to MetroEV for two projects to install 60 EV chargers in Toronto.
  • $103,531 to 2114 Yonge St. Inc. to install 22 chargers in Toronto.
  • $99,999 to Autzu to install 30 chargers in Toronto.
  • $76,130 to Downtown AutoGroup to install EV chargers in Toronto.
  • $99,999 to Tokmakjian to install seven EV chargers in Toronto and Vaughan, Ont.

Funding is provided through NRCan’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), which supports the installation of EV chargers in multi-unit residential buildings, workplaces, on-street, public places, and where EV fleets are serviced.
