October 4, 2021 – Alectra recently broke ground on its new operations centre at 200 Kennedy Rd. South in Brampton, Ont., which will function as the consolidated operations centre for more than 400 Alectra employees serving Mississauga and Brampton.

The $52-million project will be certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold. Some of those features include:

• Upgraded dedicated outdoor air systems (DOASs) that, says Alectra, will reduce GHG emissions by about 43% beyond LEED Gold standards.

• 500 kW in rooftop solar power generation.

• Over 30 electric vehicle charging stations for use by Alectra’s fleet and employee vehicles, and the general public.
