BICSI seeks competitors for Winter 2011 Skills Challenge

BICSI, an association “supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment”, wants you to compete in the 2011 BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge, being conducted at its Winter Conference in Florida, January 16-19.

All BICSI-credentialed installers and technicians are invited to submit
an application. Competitors will be selected based on qualifying
criteria, such as professionalism, quality of resume and work
experience. An attempt will be made to equally represent all regions.

The Challenge comprises the following events:

• Event A: SCS Installation
• Event B: Copper Cable Terminations & Firestopping
• Event C: Fiber Termination
• Event D: Cable Assembly
• Event E: Cable Troubleshooting/Technical Support
• Event F: Competency Exam
• Event G: Professionalism/Orientation

Competitors will vie for the title of BICSI Installer of the Year.
Prizes will be awarded, and the grand champion will walk away with
$5000. Eligible applicants are urged to apply today—the deadline is
November 1.
