Bosch launched its upgraded lithium-ion-powered 12V Max lineup with the PS31 2-Speed Ultra-Compact Drill/Driver. As a re-engineered version of the PS21 Pocket Driver, the PS31 has a height of 7”, a length of 7.04”, and weighs 2.1 pounds. The drill/driver has 265 inch pounds of torque making it “20 percent more powerful than the competition,” says the release. It includes a 3/8” single sleeve, three jawed chuck as well as a two-speed drive train where you can choose between high-torque (0-350 rpm) or high-speed (0-1,300 rpm) operation. Users can dial their preferences through “the 20+1 clutch and sensitive variable speed trigger” and the drill/driver includes a built-in motor brake and LED light. The PS31 comes with two batteries, a 30-minute charger, and a case.
