January 29, 2014 – Burndy has introduced its UM die product line, boasting a unique “M” style design that straddles the brazed seam of the YAD series lug to maintain closure during the crimp cycle.

According to the company, the profile provides a consistent and longterm reliable connection. The UM dies are designed to crimp YAD/YAV lugs accepting copper cables sizes from 8 AWG to 4/0 AWG, and can be used with DLO/Flex cable.
