Caterpillar introduces 50-Hz Cat 3516E diesel generator set

August 30, 2016 – Caterpillar says its 3516E diesel generator set with a 3000 kVA standby rating in 50 Hz operating environments offers “the lowest footprint and weight in this power range”.

With a footprint of 15.84 square meters and weighing 20,048 kg, the Cat 3516E is powered by the 3500 series engine and features a 78.1-liter displacement. The 3516E engine also utilizes the Cat A5 engine control module (ECM).

The set is available with either a standard 43oC ambient radiator or a 50oC high-ambient radiator. Radiators are factory installed.
