February 7, 2014 – Cummins Power Generation has introduced QuietConnect and PowerConnect gas generator sets designed for residential and light commercial standby applications.

With output ratings from 22kW to 60kW, the Connect generator series boast “super quiet operation” and easy installation, and are powered by the Cummins QSJ2.4 engine—a four-cycle, spark-ignited engine with a closed-loop electronic fuel system. The generators can be switched between LP and natural gas with no mechanical changes.

Along with the Connect generator series, Cummins has launched the RA series 100A and 200A transfer switch, and PowerCommand 500 remote monitoring device for residential and business applications. The UL-approved RA series transfer switches use an interlocking mechanism to promise a safe and reliable transition from one power source to the other.
