Alberta’s Safety Codes Council asks that you save the dates October 2-4, 2024, for Summit 2024, being held at the Coast Nisku Inn.

“Join safety codes professionals and industry leaders from across Alberta as they converge to learn about new developments and innovations within the safety codes system,” say organizers.

In preparation for the event, the council seeks speakers to deliver educational presentations on topics in technology and innovation in the safety codes system, as well as technical presentations within the building, fire, electrical, gas, plumbing, and barrier-free disciplines.

PRESENTATION TYPES

1.5-hour session (60-min. presentation with 30-minute Q&A): Technical-focused presentations, relevant to the Alberta safety codes environment.

1-hour session (45-min. presentation with 15-minute Q&A): General information presentations or hot topics pertaining to Alberta’s safety codes industry.

45-min. interactive session: Workshops or small group activities discussing best practices, identifying industry gaps, building professional relationships.

15-min. “COUNCILTalk”: A short presentation, like a “TED Talk”.
