September 29, 2016 – GE’s Renewable Energy business has added two new wind turbine models to its recently announced platform of 3MW wind turbines. Announced this week in Germany at the WindEurope Summit, these uprated machines in the 3.6-137 and 3.8-130 are also compatible with GE’s digital wind farm ecosystem.

The new wind turbines are available at hub heights of 85 m, 110 m, 131.4 m and 164.5 m and the 3.6-137 capable of providing up to 28% higher output compared to GE’s 2.75-129 model and the 3.8-130 yielding up to 30% higher output than GE’s 3.2-103 model.

GE’s 3 MW turbines are configurable to meet IEC class IIIA, IIB and IIIB wind conditions.
