New GE TLE series UPS boasts 96.5% efficiency

June 17, 2013 – GE says its new TLE series Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with three-level converter technology provides mission-critical facilities with reliable power, while achieving up to 96.5% efficiency. According to GE, the TLE series features an ultra-high efficiency in double-conversion mode which provides significant life cycle cost savings for the data centre industry. For a typical enterprise-class data centre with a 6MW load, the TLE series UPS has the ability to reduce annual energy consumption by more than 2 million kWh, predicts the company.
