September 7, 2016 – Greenlee Textron says it has enhanced its K-Series line of crimpers with the K05-Syncro crimping tool that crimps 8AWG – 1/0 AWG copper.

 
The newly added Syncro feature “improves the die selection process reducing die setup time by 50%”, says Greenlee, and eliminates crimping errors from mismatched dies. Die size is indicated using colour-coding on the dies and a lug sizer indicator on the dial.  The dial allows for one-handed die change, rotating both dies at the same time.
 
The tool is classified with the lugs of seven different manufacturers including UL and cUL with Anderson, Blackburn, Burndy, ILSCO, Panduit, Thomas & Betts and Penn-Union copper connectors.
