July 30, 2013 – The new CFS-CC firestop cable collar from Hilti provides a surface-mounted, sealant-free firestop solution for cable applications through floor and wall assemblies, claiming to easily firestop problematic, irregularly shaped openings without the need to cut or chisel around existing cables. The cable collar can cover 4-in. diameter openings that are filled with cables. Suitable for pre-existing and new cable bundles, the cable collar is made of a pre-formed, pre-cured material that can be re-penetrated for future cable capacity.
