February 28, 2012 – In keeping with its mandate to advance technology, IEEE has introduced its new IEEE Standards Power & Energy Dictionary app– an Apple mobile device app offering a comprehensive dictionary of terms and definitions for those in the power industry. Created by the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA), the app provides easy access to more than 3500 terms and definitions, it explains. Users can perform searches by keyword, standard number or alphabetically, and the search function automatically identifies terms as the user starts typing in the search field. The app is compatible with the Apple iPhone, iPod and iPad, and is available currently through the iTunes store.
