The IEEE Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (IEEE WCET) Certification Program has extended the application deadline to October 1, 2009, for its Fall testing period, which will be held 12-31 October at more than 300 locations worldwide.

The IEEE WCET Program was developed by the IEEE Communications Society
and an international collection of industry experts to provide a
globally recognized credential that delineates wireless communications
expertise.

Learning resources have been developed to help individuals planning to
take the IEEE WCET examination. For instance, an online tutorial
focused on WCET Area 3-Network and Service Architecture is available
through WCET’s website. It can be purchased for $250 US (IEEE ComSoc
members receive a $50 US discount). Two additional online tutorials
highlighting other prominent IEEE WCET domain areas are also expected
to be available in the coming months. Corporate discounts are also
available to companies looking to support the professional development
of employees.
