December 20, 2011 – Larson Electronics’ Magnalight has introduced the EPL-EMG-24-2L explosion proof fluorescent light with Emergency Backup to its line of explosion proof lighting products. Designed to provide the functionality of an everyday use fixture as well as the security of an emergency service fixture, Larson says this Class 1 Division 1 approved unit will run for 90 minutes in the event of power failure. An integral battery backup is automatically recharged during normal operation and stores enough power to run one lamp for 90 minutes to provide 900 lumens of light, it adds.
